This is according to a diagnostic conducted by [Better Than Cash Alliance](https://responsiblefinanceforum.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/The_State_of_Digital_Payments_in_the_Philippines-Feb20.pdf), which is a global partnership of companies, governments and international organizations. The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) aims to increase this figure to at least 20% by the end of 2020. Upon reaching this number, the BSP estimates that there will be a faster rate of adoption of digital and other contactless payment solutions.
