Enjoy Low Forex Fees when you travel with Maya
Get global access with lower foreign exchange fees at 1.75%!
- A foreign exchange fee of 1.75% shall be applied on international transactions, both online and offline.
- A foreign exchange fee of 1.75% shall be applied on international ATM withdrawals, with a Php 200 fixed fee.
*effective September 1, 2025 to February 1, 2026. Afterwards, the rate shall revert to 2.75%.
All Maya users with a prepaid Maya Card.
When you use your prepaid Maya Card in foreign currencies, a small charge called the foreign exchange conversion fee is added. This covers the cost of processing international transactions.
This fee helps us make sure you can keep using your Maya Card smoothly for overseas and foreign currency transactions.
When you use your prepaid Maya Card for transactions in a foreign currency, the amount will be converted to Philippine Pesos (PHP) using the current Mastercard or Visa exchange rate.
On top of this, a 1.75%* forex conversion fee is added to the converted amount.
*The 1.75% forex conversion fee is effective from September 1, 2025 to February 1, 2026. Afterwards, the fee will go back to the standard 2.75%.
The forex rate and forex conversion fee apply to all foreign currency transactions made with your prepaid Maya Card, including:
- Online purchases
- In-store purchases abroad
- Cash withdrawals in foreign ATMs
These fees apply whenever you use your prepaid Maya Card for non-PHP transactions.
- The forex rate is the amount set by Mastercard or Visa when your transaction in a different currency is converted to Philippine Pesos (PHP).
- The forex conversion fee is the amount from Maya to help support international transactions using your prepaid Maya Card.
- Both the forex rate and foreign conversion fee apply to foreign currency transactions made using your prepaid Maya Card.
